Intersection of Aging and Transportation Conference

The Creating Healthy Communities Conference: At The Intersection of Aging and Transportation took place March 27, 2019.

This one-day event brought together a wide variety of national experts to share data on the impact of aging on transportation services, focusing on the well-being of older adults. Topics in general sessions and breakout workshops included:

• The role of transportation in keeping older adults and communities healthy.
• Options for meeting the transportation needs of older adults.
• How technology shapes aging and access to transportation. 
• Strategies for improving access to transportation in underserved communities.
• What can be done at a local, state and national scale to better meet the transportation needs of older adults now and in the future.
